If you use scent put some in the bags of bait when you buy them, the bait will be at least partially infused when you go to use them.

I do this too with good results.......I think, I don't taste my plastics....yet.  lo
Often l'll often let them set in the sun afterwards/before using first time....like was said in Mike's 'heated plastics' post.

But then they go back in normal storage.

But as you mentioned, the heat actually makes plastics softer and may make them better, soft.

So you all know I'll be trying the new 'techniques' this year.  ;D

Something I always wondered, being so many plastics are now scented already I kind of quit 'scenting'.
Can you have too many 'different' scents that when put together actually make things worse, not better?

That's why I quit scenting.
Actually I firmly believe scenting incourages a Bass to hang on longer, allowing time to set better but not even sure if they attract (total other conversation, sorry).
BUT to me it's all about 'confidence'.
And scents give me 'confidence, so I'm a believer!

Thanks for the tip!

OOOOOOPS, saw your 'sunny baits' post.....sooooooooooo I'll bring it up and give you credit.  ;) ;D

Dam, I hope my bringing up/posting on  your tips thread doesn't work against me........... ~roflmao

Scented baits will lose their scent in the water, you can take them off and place them in the companies scent, most companies sell their scent.

I actually take a bunch of mine and 'vacuum seal' them during the hard water season.
Thinking it 'may' penetrate into the plastics better instead of just coating them.

I'm not sure if it helps/works but as long as I think it does......IT DOES!
