Just made the service appointment for the Ranger.  Mid January she goes in for a new set of steering cables and an adjustment to the jack plate to correct a prop to pad measurement.  This is the first step to get us back on the water in 2016.  Sure don't want to experience all of the down time as we did last year and for sure I don't want to miss the spawn this time around.  At my age you just can't afford to miss too much time on the water.  Really looking forward to figuring out the Waccamaw river.

With an Elite event here in April, I am very curious how the big guns will do.  I'll bet I can learn a lot just by being at the event.  Might have to just put the boat in the water and try to get up close to some of the action.  Might be a bit tough since they will most likely be spread out all over the place.

Its good to see the progress on your boat. I was following along all the trials you were having this year and I'm glad you have it coming together now. Here's to a year with much more time on the water and less in the shop for you! ~beer~

What is the cost to Marshall one of these events? I think that would be an amazing learning experience, seeing the play by play of different anglers over the course of a weekend.

was out on chick last spring watching the boys a bit.  stetson working a big spoon off some spots, things like that.

as fascinating as that was, watching the shows on TV later this fall was just as fun.  Looking at/for the landmarks, figuring out where each one was...what structure they were working...having the lake map laid out while watching.  hitting pause...studying...

i am amazed at how little it takes to entertain me  lo
