Tatula discontinued?

Hey guys I've noticed a few stores(bps, outdoor pro shop) are discounting tatulas and one bps employee told me they're being discontinued. I know you usually can't believe much of what bps employees say but outdoor pro shop also has tatulas on closeout. Anyone here know what's going on? Tatula gen 2 maybe?

Just watched "Project T 2016" and there is a new daiwa in the works. Supposedly it is a steez with t-wing and I assume is replacing the tatula. Hopefully they have changed the frames...

I would be hard pressed to think they would discontinue that line entirely and replace it with a reel that will be 2x the cost. Steez line starts higher than many even think of spending on a reel.

Maybe they introduce a Steez in the sub 200$ range? It wouldnt be consistent with their Steez lineup and pattern so far. I just dont see them doing that with the Steez line. That is their high end.

I could see a new a new Tatula with some redesign, that would be normal. Every company does that every few years.

I don't think so either but it's possibly going to be using a steez frame.
