Not into saltwater species. Just like the bass. Ill be staying in North Myrtle Beach and wont have access to a boat but want to hit up some of the fresh ponds in the area. I see that there are tons of golf courses but I don't want to be out there without permission. Someone mentioned that some courses let you fish before 7am and after 7pm.

does anyone have any idea some ponds (golf course or not) that have yielded some decent bass? Ill be right in the heart of NMB.

Thanks a lot!  ~cf

You won't find any golf courses here that will allow fishing in their ponds.  I live on a golf course and have been run off several times.  It is known that many of the ponds will yield nice bass but they are strictly off limits for fisherman.  The only bass fishing nearby would be in the Waccamaw River but not much in the way of shore bound opportunities.  You might want to check out the launch ramps areas on the Intercoastal waterway/waccamaw river.  You may find some that will allow fishing.   Good Luck.
