Not much to report, the weather was nice even though it drizzled a little off and on.  The water was high and the there were two complete cycles of tide movement today.  There was a lot of water moving to say the least.

I got there about 10ish, and caught a 12 inch croaker on the first cast of still frozen shrimp.  The rest of the day was pretty active with hardhead catfish probably a foot and a half and smaller.

Later in the day I caught another smaller croaker on squid, and kept it so the first croaker wouldn't be lonely in the cooler.

I was kept busy rebaiting thanks to the numerous crabs that were very hungry.

I quit about 2 PM when the bite seemed to slow down.  The solunar and tide data state that fishing should be better tomorrow and Friday, hopefully I can get out there with a couple more reports.

All catfish were released to play again.  They were caught on either cut mullet, squid, or shrimp.  Here are a few pictures of some of the fish caught today.

Nice catches

Thanks, there is a big debate around here whether or not Hardheads are good table fare.  While Gafftopsail Cats are known to be some of the best tasting catfish around.  The Wife won't eat catfish of any kind for some reason, so I don't harvest them anymore.

In my experience a while back, hardheads need to be cleaned well, all of the dark meat cut off, then soaked in your favorite soak.  I like using milk or buttermilk.  After doing that they taste similar to channel cast, in my opinion.
