We had a good day today. Fishing got tough after 9. Had a little mechanical issue with the livewell. We decided to throw the fish back in the lake so they would survive. We took the time since we were there to enjoy the lake. We both like fishing the southern end better. On the plus side I did get Lou to catch his first flipping fish. And I had him casting an EZ with my Team Daiwa Zillion. Was a relaxing day, well sort of. I'm pooped.

What baits were y'all flippin?

We didn't stay for weigh in. If you seen how packed the parking area was, we wanted to get out before the chaos started.

Here is my take over this past wknd. I had a great time. Mother nature threw a curve ball at us on the drive up with some hellacious T-storms and heavy rain, but we arrived safely. As all of you saw, yes I had a burrito at an Irish restaurant. Even my own wife shook her head at that notion. LOL!!

The tournament was a humbling experience. Never have I seen that volume of bass boats being unloaded. It was overwhelming to see. Especially when you have one of the smallest boats as far as you could see. LOL!! The official launch was unbelievable. Those boats took of like rockets, and we were literally behind dealing with their wakes. Lol!!

The North end of the lake although little different from the South end was beautiful. Lake fishing has its own learning curve. I am quickly learning this. You basically see a vast ocean of lake in front you and you are tasked to find bass?!? Unbelievable feeling. Like LMG explained, unfortunately my boat experienced technical difficulties with the livewell, and we both came to the mutual decision to forfeit the tourney. We then chose to relax, fish, and enjoy the day. The decision was the right one. Overall I had a great time. Great company, with a ton of laughs. Picked up a new, fun, power technique that i look forward to implementing again soon when i see the chance. Looking forward to our Classic,in October already. LOL!!

Here are some pics of the lake. Enjoy!!

And the last one, see if u can find LMG. Lol!!

There is some nice water in that area.  I launched out of Camp Mack or the State Park a lot.  Knowing the camp, that had to be one killer mad house.

Glad Y'all had a great time.

I watched the first 3 get the prizes on the gambler app, saw they released the official results.....29 pounds and change took it. then second and third were both 26 pound with a few ounces seperating....2 of the top three used the burner craw....and they had an 11 pounder caught on a O-Beast (lmgs favorite type of bait) lol
