Bayou Black Fishing Reports (Morgan City)

anyone on here fish the bayou black area?

i went out there yesterday and fished the canals north of lake hackberry. i wasted most of my morning trying to catch a couple of redfish that i spotted feeding in a shallow pocket. in the process i managed to get my boat stuck. i broke a paddle and nearly burned up my motor getting out. other than that, i had one bite and that was it. the water was really muddy and on the high side due to the big south wind that we have been having.

i fish the bayou black area about 3 or 4 times a year never seen any red fish in the canals north of hackberry though caught some bass there i like to fish the orange grove.  caught some bass and red fish in lake decade mostly now it is all red fish and specks
