I've had several texts/emails asking about how to join our trail, so I'm going to hit the highlights and most of the other specifics are covered on our website at www.LouisianaPoormans.com. The Cross Lake tournament is an OPEN, meaning you don't pay the membership fees ($30/perso) at registration, but it will be deducted from the winnings of those teams placing in the money. Tournament entry fee is $60/boat, which includes BB. There is an optional 7 Pound Pot ($10/boat) which will roll over to the next event, if nobody in the pot catches a 7+ pound bass. Everyone MUST bring their Driver's and Fishing licenses to registration, without them you will not be able to enter, and I will be checking ALL participants (you and your partner). Rule #26 - 26. No team shall be entered into any other event(s), while fishing a Poormans event. The act of "double-dipping" will not be allowed in our team trail., so if you are entered into the boat show tourney or any other tourney, you are NOT eleigible to fish this event. You do not have to fish this event to become a member, if you do not fish the OPEN simply show up at the next event that you plan to fish and pay the membership and entry fees at registration. To qualify for our Classic, you only need to fish 6 events during the year...and you pick/choose which ones you want to fish. Everyone that fishes the OPEN will get full credit as a qualifying event, even if you haven't paid membership fees.

Please don't forget that Cross Lake goes OFF-LIMITS, for those fishing this event, on Sunday Jan.11th at dark. I know it's early notice, but it looks like tomorrow (Tuesday) is going to be about the best weather we will have between now and then...so I wanted to give everyone a heads up, in case they wanted to take off work and get some prefishing in without wearing a snowmobile suit.
