Pcat78 and I fished our club championship this weekend. Not a lot of fish were caught and big fish only went 3.10. We launched out of Ivy bend and ran down river. No luck down there so we headed up river and finally got our first keeper with an hour to go on Saturday. The lake was dirty upriver and stained down river.
This morning when we launched out we had heavy fog. We worked docks in shallow and deep water and couldn't catch anything with size. Both day's we had 74 degree water in the morning warming to 78 in the afternoon. Blue bird skies and no wind after the fog lifted made it a grind for every one. Had a good time as always. Not sure what baits worked because we all struggled.

Not sure dynamite would have even worked. I am fishing another one this weekend in Pomme. Wife wasn't too happy but I should be home in time to do the family thing.

just curious...it's been a bit of a tough bite up here all summer.  seeing similar down in your part of the world?

sure we can catch them...but can't remember a year where I've had to work harder than this one...

I was at the 13mm next to the Lodge. Bass fishing has been poor all of Sept. The crappie averaged 13 in. under the commercial docks. They were biting large jig/minnow.

Coldfront, this has been one of the toughest years I can remember. Not sure why, just seems like a down year. I am already looking forward to next year. Supposed to be a long cold winter so we will see if that has an effect on it.

Wizard, I would take a limit of 13 inch crappie over a few bass any day of the week. I think the big bass bash is this weekend on LOZ so we will see what them boys can do.
