SFBR Classic at Lake Kissimmee Oct 4 & 5th 2014

You guys did well on the K considering the weather.  I did not even fish this weekend.  With that front coming through I decided to watch football all weekend instead.

Like we spoke about. The conditions were challenging. Few of us managed a few catches on Sunday, but it wasn't easy that's for sure.

Folks can say whatever they want, those of us that were there know the truth.

I left the dock Sunday morning wearing a T-Shirt, a Heavy Flannel Shirt, a Hooded Sweat Shirt, Long Pants, Socks and Boots. When I stepped outside the cabin that morning my plans changed immediately. I had planned, due to the Front, to flip a heavy jig tight to cover all morning. I knew that as strong as the wind was that would not be possible, there was no way I could control the boat to do that. So I switched to a faster reaction bait and just hoped to find 1 or 2 semi-active fish. I had that one hit on a good fish I lost, but that hit was very light and not much of a take. For the next 3 hours I got nothing. Then I found one small stretch that held 3 active fish and I got them all within a 50 yard area and within 30 minutes, after making several passes over that area.

I got lucky and I know it. It was a tough, tough, day to be fishing. Anyone that got a bite on Sunday did good.

You could get to all that stuff from the shore, without a boat? LOL. Bro, I like the confidence dont get me wrong. But this is bragging rights, and until you WIN a month, or at least SHOW UP to the classic, theres not much on your end to brag about. Its easy to armchair quarterback when you are sittin at home on your @ss. Just a friendly joke!

BTW, in case you are wondering...

The reason why you have guys being touchy about this is the fact we were there. We braved the 20mph wind at 6am. We didnt sleep in our own beds, heck I slept in the back of my truck and have the mosquito annihilation on my legs to prove it. We spent the gas/food/cabin money. We took the time off work. We made the sacrifices to be there and give it our all.

We toughed it out, and we did the best we could. For someone to say well hey if I was there I would have killed it is a bigtime slap in the face. Thats the only reason people are getting testy on ya. Just take that with a grain of salt, you can be cocky all you want but not about the classic. You weren't there, nothing to brag about.
