Cross 9/13

Hit cross today from about 7:30-1230 with my little sister and grandad. Neither of them like rough water or cold wind so just made an attempt to stay out of it for the most part. Fishing was slow but steady. Had 8 bites and put 7 in the boat with the 8th stealin the bait. Unfortunately I didn't put any hawgs in the boat like you guys have been catching lol. Had a few 2+ lbers but they were all just solid keepers. Caught two on baby brush hog and the rest on a beaver. Depths ranged from dirt shallow to 3ft. Water temp was 76-79. Little sister didn't have a bite and grandad didn't fish. Tried a popper, frog, squarebill, spinnerbait, and fluke with surprisingly no luck.
