Am I the only one who prefers to fish with colored line. I prefer a yellow or bright orange. Unfortunately the one company I like a lot does not make line in those colors.

I fish with Hi Viz line from BullBusters.net, it is a high viz yellow, you have to buy it in one pound spools, but it is pretty cheap.  This line is a salt water line, very good for high abrasive locations, strong, but does have memory, and can run into some line twist if you aren't careful. But it is pretty inexpensive and allows you to spool more often in comparable cost to other lines.  Their lightest line in the bulk hi viz spool is 15lb.  I use 15 and 20lb.

Bass Pro has a similar color in their Off Shore Angler house brand line also.

I'm trying out P-line CXX  8lb in a high viz that actually looks clear, haven't used it on the water yet, so can't tell you much about it.  I'm also trying their Fluorescent Green in 12lb test, which looks more like hi viz yellow to me, but what do I know.

My wife swears by Sufix Siege in Neon Tangerine, looks more like Flourescent Orange, she uses 17 and 20lb, and it is a great all around line.

There is a green that is out that Big Game calls solar Collector, it is a very good hi viz line color also.

Ande Premium used to come in that green color, they call it envy green fluorescent, now you have to get that color in a little more expensive line called back country, which is a great line, btw.

Hi Viz line is usually targeted for salt water fishing or cat fishing where a lot of night angling and line watching goes on, although I know a lot of crappie guys that use it. With the exception of a few like Sufix, most are more comparable to Big Game in their manageability.

I also have found that running across hi viz lines in the lb test I want off the shelf is rare, I usually end up ordering it online from one distributor or another.

When you get to be a certain age hi-viz line becomes a necessity. lo

I reached that age about 5 years ago and find myself using it for more and more applications, I don't think it really makes any difference to the fish, but it sure helps me out a lot.   ~b~

Same here, my eye sight is not as good as it was when I was younger! I like the Hi Vis Yellow! I still have some reels spooled with low vis green lines, but as I need to change line I'll switch to Hi Vis yellow & the fish don't seem to care either way!  lo

I agree.  I like Stren Hi-Vis Gold.  I can actually see it!

P-line Cxx has a color called just Hi Viz.  I bought a large spool of it in 8lb, I figured it was yellow or something like that.  When I got it in the mail, it ended up being clear in color, man was I ticked about that, but it actually shows up very well in sunshine and overcast conditions, it looks kind of like a milky color from a distance, kind of hard to describe.

For me, the thinner the line the worse it is to see, this to my surprise actually isn't that bad.
