Painting, getting started????

Ok I'm wanting to try my hand at making my own custom lures.
Now I have painted cars and trucks with HVLP guns but never have done any airbrush work. So I'm wanting to get some eat but don't want to break the bank.
Also some quality lures like vision, and others would be good. But not sure of th be best place to get them.
