Pool Noodle Plugs

Ok, I'm on a pool noodle roll here.   

If you take a piece of tubing and sharpen the end, you will make a great little cutter to cut out these little plugs.  They are useful for a lot of things.  I use them for in line floats for some of my carolina rig presentations, they can be inserted into tube jigs to make them very buoyant, inject some attractant in them and you have smell and flavor with it.  The list goes on and on.  The whole long story about how I came across the tube I am using now will be in the salt water section soon. 

If you need a special size noodle to fit into a lure or what ever, just get the correct inside diameter tube, and cut away.  Slicing them thin makes for some great small filters found in some various tools and appliances, BTW.

The same cutter can be used on sponges to make highly absorbent plugs for various uses, just keep in mind that sponge will swell when wet whereas pool noodles don't.

Based on the noodles I have the largest od diameter tube is about 5/8th of an inch before it cuts the edges of the noodle.
