Looks like I will  to give the reports from NE La. I fish primarily east of Monroe to the Miss. River and south to Turkey Creek area. The bass have been off and on for the last couple of weeks. Had report from a buddy of mine yesterday - Bayou Macon Cutoff - he and another buddy caught nice stringer of bass. Weighing 2.5 - 5 lbs fish. Poverty Point Lake has been real slow. That is my main lake I fish since I live there. Last weekend caught 3 - 2 slot fish(15-19 inch) and one over(23.75). I here D'arbonne has been producing some nice fish in the channels and around the cypress trees on jigs and tubes. Lake Bruin has been pretty good over the last couple of weeks. Had two tournaments down there the last two weekends and I believe that it took in the 16-17 lb(5 fish) to even be in the money. Team Supreme Tournament last weekend on Lake Concordia - 1st place was over 19 lbs. Well, with the cold fron coming in we will have to see what this weekend holds. I am fishing tournament on Poverty Point this weekend. Fishing will be tough - I am up to it though. Also, have the 3rd annual Brian O'Pate tournament the following weekend here too. If anyone interested in fishing it give me an email and I will get you info. Good Luck to all.

Poverty Point is about 2 hours and fifteen minutes from Shreveport. Guess it 's how fast you can drive. Just head east on  I-20 till you get to  Delhi Exit. Go north aprrox. 3 miles and you will be at the south Marina.

papabass...we should have the individual lakes listed in your area.  Start a new topic for each lake to give your fishing report.  I have fished some of the lakes, like Concordia, St. John, and Bruin.  I would love to make some trips back there...especially St. John and Bruin.

Update from God's Country. The fishing has been tough all over from the reports I have been getting so far this week. THe weather has not cooperated very well. Cold, rain and high winds make for a difficult time over this way. Last weekend only had two reports - Poverty Point on Sunday afternoon I managed to boat 3 fish -all slot fish in the 3 - 3 3/4 lb range. Other report was from Lake Bruin had a fellow tell me they cuaght 4 -all under 2 lbs. This week has not been much better. It has been cold and raining with NE winds 10-15 and gusty. No reports form the Lake D'arbonne, Concordia, St. John area. There is a Bass Tournament on Poverty Point this weekend. Entries are still available if anyone interested. 1St place gauranteed $5000. Last few two years has been around $7000. Will update from other areas as I get reports.

A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
