I saw this on Doc Irv's website. Looks like an interesting lure with good action. But what is it supposed to be imitating and how would one fish it?

cmegee

Kind of looks like a beaver type bait, I'd say it'd be a good flipping bait texas rigged

Down4ttown

That thing can be flipped, pitched, thrown on a swim jig. I bet it moves a ton of water too!

Dark3

Looks like a flippin bait. Kinda resembles the devil spear with spikey things

SABasser

Interesting looking bait, sure it will work well.

Pacific NW Ron

Very interesting.  Looks to me this thing should send out a lot of vibrations with all those protrusions.
Doc did it again.

Enjoying retirement in the great Pacific Northwest.  I've turned into a fair weather angler.  Why do it today when I can do it tomorrow?

i definitely want to try them out, just not sure what color to go with. was hoping to be able to figure what its supposed to mimic to help me choose color. who knows it may even be a good jig trailer too.

Sometimes the best baits don't look like anything.  For instance a tube is a much better crawfish imitation than a realistic craw.  This looks like a great bait,  I might have to get an order in.  It would work great on a hard head jig.
