I went back to grand bayou this morning. Didnt get there til after nine because I tried going to the red river first. It was BAD muddy. So I loaded up and went to my favorite lake. I caught nine, missed two.  3 overs and six unders. Caught em all up shallow. Any seawall with shade and grass=good bass. Caught em all on a swimming super fluke in white ice

Hey Ricky, how do you rig and work that swimming fluke? I am used to fishing the regular fluke weightless. I rig it TX style with a wide gap hook using a twitch and pause retrieve.  I tried the swimming fluke and it seemed like I needed some more weight to keep it from coming up to the surface.  Maybe I'm going too fast?

Hey john, on the reg size swimming flukes I use an owner 5 or 6/0 hook with the twisting keeper at the eye
If they're hitting at it and missing it or biting the tail off, ill switch ti the swimming fluke Jr.  Ill put it on a 2/0
I dont use any weight. I swim it on top kinda like a ribbit
Hold ur rod tip up and that will allow you to swim it slower but keep it on top.
Ive probably caught 2000 bass this summer like this.

Thanks Ricky, I'll have to give that a try.  I bet those hits on the top are real heart stoppers.
