Fished Cross Lake today from about 2-5. Launched at public ramp and went into the first pocket east of there. Caught a 19" over on a ghost shad squarebill next to cypress trees in shallow water. Had several hybrids chasing the bait but they would never hit. Motored over to the point north of the launch and quickly caught 2 slots and 3 unders ripping a chart/black squarebill through grass in about 3 feet of water. Kicking myself for not going a little earlier in the day but still had a good time.Water temp around 66*. Got back to the launch to find someone had treated themselves to the passenger tail light of my trailer. Never heard of such a thing.

Southwest end is chocolate milk. Northwest is a little better. Middle/East end of the lake is pretty much the usual color.
