So I use a drop shot and an A Rig off an on through out the season but if you have tried to stow one in a rod locker it can be a pain with wires going everywhere or no where to clip your weight on for a drop shot. What I been using is a thing called a Gear Tie, the come in different sizes and colors, but ill wrap the wires of the A rig together around the rod with one and just wrap it around like a bread tie and it holds it in place. Same with the drop shot weight, Ill wrap the line just above the weight around the base of the spinning real handle and wrap it around again like a bread tie and it will never move. Plus the rubber coating wont hurt your line! This Gear Tie got me through a tournament when my bolt and nut came out of my net. I had to improvise so I stuck a tie through the hole and wrapped it up tight, lasted all through the day and netted every fish. These thing are to hand not to have in your boat!
