Dual Console Removal

Hi,  I'm looking at a 2006 LE21 which is dual console.  Due to some limitations my fishing partner has a single console is better.  Can the passenger console be removed from a Legend without causing any damage to the gel coat?

It depends. If the boat was made with a removable console or not. If it was then yes it's very easy, because it's a bolt in.

However I'm not sure if they offered the removable console in 2006? You'll have to ask the owner and I can find out if it was an option in 06. However if it was an available option, that doesn't mean the purchaser ordered it that way.

I had that year and model and loved it, however mine did not have a removable console.

Just got word back from Legend. The Console in any LE model were part of the mold and not removable at all.

I loved the straps. With the Alpha model they stopped putting them on and I missed them until I got used to it. On the Alpha models there is a indentation molded in that allows you to grab the lid easily. The straps were always very handy and I have had an issue with them.

Thank you Mike.  I have talked to my fishing partner and he thinks he can deal with the console, so unless something unforseen happens, I will be a Legend owner next week.
