Okoboji 6/20/13

It appears the Okoboji bass have just finished spawning (at least the majotiy of them). My approach for this outing was to fish in the prespawn. Last Fridays reports stated the females hadn't even moved up yet. I was hoping for a fast moving agressive approach and found out that wasn't what they wanted. I fished east lake mostly and was fishing near channel swings and spawning flats. caught two or three bass (small) and three rather large northerns. My partner did ok catching two 3 pounders. Talking at the ramp led me to believe that the fish were hovering around mid dock and the majority of fish were caught dead sticking a senko or wacky rig. Lesson Learned.
