I am moving up to a Skeeter Sx200 from aluminum boat.  Drove for first time 3/20/13.   This is the first
large bass boat I have been behind the Wheel.  In this boat bow comes up high until you strart trimming down.  Is this common on all bass boats?  Boat has small area 3 in. x 1/2 in. on bottom where something has been hit.   Not in fiberglass just gelcoat.  Is this a problem?   Compression is within 3 lbs on all cylinders but none are the same.  Is this a problem?

Start off with trim all the way down, give it the gas and after comming on to plane start to trim up motor. This will keep bow from comming up to mutch and as you trim up you will notice speed comming up. Practice a few times and it will become automatic. If you trim up to far you will blow out, loose grip on water. Back off power and trim down to regain grip. Good luck

Assuming your compression is with spec it's fine if they are not all the same.

Good advice on the first two questions.

The third about the gelcoat. If you can see fiberglass it's best to get the gel coat repaired. Over time the fiberglass will wear and eventually soak water. Not detrimental but should be fixed when the opportunity arises.
