They look good! ~c~  IMO, a lot of detail on topwater lures is more for us than the fish, so it isn't necessary.

I've caught a lot of fish on topwaters that were painted a single color, but have also caught plenty on the highly detailed lures! IMO, the action is what is most important with topwaters!

Keep painting & posting them! It's always great to see what individual tackle makers & painters like to do!  :)

No, they've turned out good! I've probably had the most success with either a black or white topwater, but sometimes another color, like that second one with the chartreuse back is much easier to see on the water. I especially like that color combination. Chartreuse is another color I've had a lot of success with for any type of lure!

That's one of the great things about doing it yourself, you can do whatever you want & if it doesn't work out, you can try something different!  lo

Those white ones you posted last look great as they are but I would like them even more with a small stripe of hot orange or chartreuse down the belly!  But that is just my personal taste  lo  They look great though, keep experimenting and having fun with it because the only thing that can limit you is your imagination and of course, the more you do the better they'll turn out!
