My second attempt on reworking a redeyed shad lipless c.b. since the finish that strike king puts on them doesn't last very long. Wrote to them asking if they sell blanks for this bait and they responded saying that if I'm having a problem with the finish, send it in for a replacement and "No" they do not sell blanks of any type bait. I think my finish is much more durable. Although this particular bait was made for a friend of mine who is a big LSU fan and said it would probably never see water...lol. The other pic is some of my baits that I've tied feathers on the rear treble to match the bait. Most of the C.B.'s I fish have feathered trebles.

That is awesome!! How much for a FSU one? Lol Love to put that on my shelf! My current PB was caught on a Redeye Shad lol. Again awesome work man.

the only problem with the LSU baits is that they will only get fish halfway to the boat......SORRY, I had to, I just couldent help myself. Very nice looking baits, I wish I were talented enough to do something like that.
The only thing more depressing than not catching fish is not being able to go

I'm not an LSU fan, but do like the colors on that lure! I'll bet your friend will be pleased!

I also like dressed hooks on lures, & add a lot of them to my bass & saltwater lures!

Here's some I tied up for some of the lures I use in the tidal rivers I fish.

Sure appreciate all the compliments guys. I do have to say what u want to put on these baits is pretty much unlimited. Big Jim, those trebles look fantastic! Great Job. I'm from originally from Michigan and need to make a Mi. version of the lure. Had to laugh at jonboy's comment too. Not sure if I made a Det. Lions if the fish would even come close to it. LOL ~roflmao

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but unless someone has a license or approval from any institution, you can not sell anything with their logos on them. I just had a guy want to buy my full set of Chicago MLB, NHL, NFL and NBA spinnerbaits. I have turned this down many times because of just what I mentioned. However you can swap items of equal value. I'm just mentioning this because you guys posting that you want to buy  these are exposing yourself. Just sayin'?

Great point cadman. A buddy of mine and i were talking about that very subject when I gave him that "LSU"  bait. I said to him : "A way to get away from having license approval or copyright infringements would be to give them the bait and sell the hooks separate for the 'said' amount. :-* Example being...."Free LSU redeye shad bait with no hooks. Hooks sold separately for $12.00 . Don't see any harm in that. But then again...I'm not a lawyer

Bassmanrudy....I sent you a P.M. in here. Not sure if you got it or not.

Toader,
I'm not trying to b a D%%%, but I've been down this road, and the person that will turn you in, is a customer that didn't think he got a good deal. So yes the way you stated it is a better way. I'm just mentioning it, because it could get ugly, and then you will have some explaining to do. Good Luck. BTW that is an awesome looking bait and you have some excellent painting skills. Job well done.

Cadman, didn't think you were being a D%%% at all and I appreciate the compliments too. I like criticism whether its good or bad ....thats how we all get better. Also any legal info is greatly appreciated. I enjoy sharing information on here to help others and this site has definitley helped me out in more ways than one. Just a note here , so far all my baits have been painted with spray cans. Have an airbrush and still haven't used it yet...LOL. Thanks again for the compliment and good fishin' to ya!

Wow, if that is all spray cans then I'm really impressed.  I heard of guys using spray cans to paint crankbaits, but I've never really seen any work. You definitely are talented when it comes to painting baits.
