A few off season projects completed

I installed my comfortroll trolling motor tray the other day:


I know it's a little off center but this is where all the indents were from the trolling motor pedal.

Running the hose was somewhat tricky:



I didn't want to run it down the rod holder area, but it seemed like the only way. The rods still go in all areas they did before. I did have to cut the rivets from the 3 rod tubes up at front of boat for the tray to sit down enough and be able to screw it into floor. The rivets are the ones you can see easily after removing the front panel with 8 screws.

I also installed 2 rod buckles on the front deck. These things are awesome. so much easier to keep 6-8 rods on the deck when motoring. easy installation too.





I have a Humminbird 788ci HD coming soon, going to put it on the console and move my 596 HD DI from console to bow. I should have some pictures of that project within a week.

Very nice that is an outstanding job, looks factory installed to me 

It doesn't look off center? Putting it where the trolling motor naturally lays for your use is the best way to go.

I went to a recessed trolling motor pedal about 6 years ago and it made a world of difference. Don't know how long I could last on a standard pedal anymore.

When you cut the rivets did you leave the rod tubes intact and under the deck?  Where you able to secure them (rivets/screws)?

I did leave the rod tubes in tact, i wasnt able to secure them to anything. I taped them together tight enough to get them to slide down into the end of the rod holder tray ( the carpeted aluminum portion) they will not rattle or come loose as the bottom of the comfortroll is sitting on them.

Installed my humminbird GPS unit at the console and moved my DI unit to the bow. Tried to get power from the fuse panel under the console but couldn't for some reason. So had to run wires from the battery to console and bow. I didn't think I was ever going to get the wire routed under front deck to bow but finally got it.

Nice job!!! I did the same modifications on mine. (2008 txw red) . The recessed pedal makes a day on the water more enjoyable.

Ya the rod buckles have to be the best bang for the buck upgrade on any bass boat. Can't wait to give them a try this spring

Very nice job! If I go back to a foot control TM I'll do an install on a tray. I have a 95 PRO DEEP V 16 that came with a 37 ft.lb. TM nedless to say it was a touch under powered, I have a 55 ft.lb. PD2 Minn Kota now with co-pilot, I'm putting I-Pilot on this spring. It also had the original Hummingbird 300 at the console when I bought it, I had and HDS-5 and an Eagle Elite 480, the HDS is mounted at the console and the Eagle at the bow. If things work out Both will be up dated this year. Running the power from the fuse panel was pretty straight forward, from the fuse block and the transducer cable wasn't bad for the HDS. I mounted a short deck in the stern and I need to figure how to lengthen the rod locker but that is for later. Again, nice job on your boat
