Ok, I am tired of slipping off the trailer and soaking my shoes when I am trailering my boat.  ~rant Anyone suggest a good trailer step so I don't have to act like a damn acrobat when winching to boat onto the trailer?

I'm guessing your trailer has rollers?

Highlander

I have seen at cabelas the metal type platform steps that seem nice but i have not actually used one yet.
Can't wait for spring!
Rather be fishing than working! :)

No sir. Just flat rails.

you could take it to a local fabrication shop and have them weld a step on your trailer. Depending on how elaborate you make it , it wouldent cost to much.
If you work for a big company that they are trying to do business with, sometimes they will hook you up for free just to get their name out.
The only thing more depressing than not catching fish is not being able to go

They get pretty elaborate depending on what you're looking for. If you Google Boat Trailer Tongue Step you get quite a few options.

I use a full set of steps and the bottom step is perfect to help me when winching.

Mike,I am assuming this is a custom step. What does something like this run?

Not real sure I think it's a little over 200, it was part of the boat package. There are several companies making them now. I'll see if I can find a website.

I like Jim's  ~c~

There are more than a few out there on the market.

This one runs from $220 to right at $500 - http://www.ezeestep.com/

These run $150 a step and IMHO don't help a lick for us that truely need a step. http://www.massmarine.com/massmarine_en/keelguard-by-megaware-keelguard-inc-flexstep-package-trailer-step-254-80011?gclid=CPbJlofb47QCFYKPPAodyX0Aww

If all you need is a little more room to stand on while cranking your boat on than there are under $50.00 http://www.etrailer.com/Accessory-Step/Heininger-Holdings/HE4036.html?gclid=CKff34Tb47QCFSemPAodtxcAWg

These guys won't even post the price!  LOL

You can get them from Bass Cat $230 for the step or $460 for the step and pole.

bluebonnet2 do they get in the way when you load your boat and have to stand on the trailer to winch the boat up?

bluebonnet2

good afternoon,

ron, the steps do not bother me when i load, i just slide right up the trailer(centered),i usually squat on the bottom step or the second step depends on the water level and the ramp angle, haven't had any problems so far......i'm 67 yrs....

hope this helps, i also have a bumper step like this.....

got it off ebay $163 del, bolts to the the bumper frame...helps with cold water temps...deplys  with a light pressure on the inside of the step and retracts with a slight up swing with the toe....i'm to old to be climbing all over the place ;D

good luck,
