Just finished rewiring the boat

But I didn't fuse the trim and tilt or the volt gauges. Do I need or even want to?

 I would the tilt trim. better to blow a fuse than overload something more expensive to replace is the way I think about it.

True. I'll fuse both. There isn't much know-how here but if I fused everything else I'd be a fool to stop now.

Always fuse 12v systems a short without a fuse could start a fire even on low voltage systems, it's the amps that can build up in a short that are killers.
