Haven't read the thread in it's entirety so my apologies if this is redundant but the map looks LakeMaster mapping.

The mapping software is called Dr Depth. Just do a simple Google search  ;)

I wish someone would point out exactly what you are seeing with arrows stating what's what.

you know, it's always an educated guess...sometimes we toss lures/bait in there and validate that they are fish...sometimes they refuse our offerings and they might as well be rocks.   lo

the key characteristic I look for:
a white blob.  if they're just a bit off the bottom, you can see that by how the 'shadow' relates to the actual object...when they get directly on the bottom it can get to be a much more challenging situation.

here's the image with a couple arrows...hope they show up...

I think these are fish...AND I might be inclined to think what looks like a rock pile just to the left of those three arrows...might really be a school of fish.

how I would check this:  I'd drag a tungsten weight/c-rig around that area and feel for rocks.  It would not surprise me to not find rocks.   :-*  no matter how long I tried.

this is a very popular spot for the walleye guys.

Lowrance HDS-7 on the console.  Gen 1 stuff.

lo

note those fish are right on the edge of a secondary 'roll-off'

in this thread there are a total of three 'passes' through this area represented...from the initial post at the start...  that's what has me thinking this is a school of fish...as it's hard for rocks to reposition themselves so quickly.
