Lowrance Sonic Hub - USB Question

Music gurus....does it take a special type of USB stick to store music or will any USB storage device work.

As far as I know any USB storage devise will work. I just bought a regular 8gb USB drive, threw a bunch of songs on it, plugged it in and enjoyed.

The only issue is that I think the music "files" have to be MP3 or MP4 (might be wrong on that, but check the manual). I have a few files with a different format on mine and they don't play correctly.
