I have a 200 etec on a 20 foot stratos. the prop that is on it is a26 pitch and i only get 4800 rpm. I put a 26 pitch on  and get 5500 rpm but get a lot of blow out on take off. What is the right prop for this set up. It is starting to get to cost a liitle bit of money buying props to try one time

You typed 26 pitch for both your props? Is there a brand difference or did you mean 25 pitch for the second prop. Blow out can be caused by motor height as well. I'd recommend dropping the motor with the prop that you're getting good RPM with before I made a move towards another prop.

What is your motor height and can you clear up your prop information?

What your calling blow out could be cavitation. If the second prop is getting good top end and your only having problem on take off Mike could be right but you may also need just a little cup to cure the problem. Is prop diamater the same on both props? Really for anyone to help, you need to give prop pitch and diamater along with rpm's for both.
Are you hitting the trim as soon as you hit the throttle or do you hit the trim after the boat falls over from take off?
A little better explaination of what is happening might also help in finding a sloution to your problem.

Dropping your motor to much will cause you to loose top end RPM. So still only go down a quarter inch at a time and see if you can find a sweet spot :-*
