2002 stratos

hey guys i'm thinking of buying a 2002 stratos 200 pro with a 200 yamaha vmax, power pole, lowrance electronics.  boat is in immaculate condition, for every problem the guy takes it to the dealer (my dad know dealers from his bass club).  the only thing i don't know is hours on the motor but will get it put on computer to find out before sale is final.  The asking price is $18000 which seems a little much for a 2002... let me know what ya'll think.

I want to hold out for exactly what i want.....but i want something better than my duck boat ...

Sounds like a great deal with all the electronics, pwr pole etc.  I have a 2004 Stratos 285 with a Yamaha 150 VMax and I really like it.  Those VMaxs are pretty tough and durable motors.

I'm not sure about the price on it. It does seem a little high. I just bought a 2004 201 Pro XL with a 250VMAX. The guy I bought it from said the top end went out in the motor and he took it to the dealer. They said that it was a recall so they rebuilt the motor. The motor has 60 hrs on it now and I didn't give but $11,500 for it. It has the Hummingbird 798ci HD on it and 2 Lowrance systems that I still haven't figured out how to operate yet, new on board battery charger, and 2 new optima blue top batteries. The boat has a chip in the fiberglass on the front about the size of a quarter, seats might need to be recovered in a year or so but other than that it is in good shape. I don't know how long you have been looking but you might want to look a little more. Just thought I would share this with you. Good luck finding a boat.

 If you can hold out a little longer, the best time to buy a boat is in the fall. They rather sell than store for another year and you will get your best price then, it is only a few months away and get your best bang for the buck. It is still prime fishing time so prime price on boats. Took me over a year to find the deal on my Ranger but it was worth it. Stratos is a good boat and i wish you luck in your search.

well fella's we pulled the trigger.  some corrections to the boat is its a 2004 with a 225 hpdi. 8 ft power pole 798 with down imaging on bow, hds 5 in dash, lcx 27 ram mount on console.  203 hours on engine, one small blemish in the gel coat, prop has a few nicks in it but it will get a fury prop anyways.  boat runs 65 with full tank of gas 3 grown men and a tournament load.

my dad bought this boat from a friend in his bass club and he is letting me pay him  back....(not a bad deal!)  i just need to get out from under my boat, so if anyone knows someone looking for a duck/fishing boat send em my way!

well got the boat and fished bull shoals last weekend.  caught one fish friday and 4 saturday between me and my dad.  thats not bad compared to what a lot of other anglers we talked to are doing.  boat is awesome!  pops up on plane and trimmed out to 68 with me and my wife and a full tank.  wanted to get it on the red river this weekend but raining cats and dogs now!!!! and looks like it this weekend too.  oh well we need the rain.
