What' the verdict with a prop on your PIV?  24 or 25P Fury?  What kind of RPM's.

Well it's been longer than a month since I had it out. I just had a baby boy so I am regulated to diaper/bottle duty. Before it went into the garage I put a 25P Fury on it and had a good run with just me and full tackle/fuel. Had it jacked up pretty high. 2 3/4" below pad. It did fine an it 5900 72-73mph. I loaded up the rear saddle tanks and put my dad in it with his full isle of Bass Pro tackle and it did not ride right in the mid RPM range. It was wanting to plow and not lift unless I was over 5000RPMs.

I went and changed the plate back down to flush and I assume that is around 4.5" below pad and it ran better in the mid rpm range loaded like that the second day of out tournament. I kinda think I would be more happy with a 24/25 Trophy. I am sure I will loose 2-3 MPH on top but the mid range lift and ride may be better.

It will be awhile before I get back out. I have even thought about selling her as she is going to sit for awhile.

I can see the justification for a four blade prop to get more lift.  There is always a compromise with props especially if you tournament load the boat with two.  i vote for more lift and control over WOT if I'm mostly fishing with two people.

That is a very good number at WOT with your PIV.  I bet you would gain another 1.5 to 2.5 mph in cooler air temps.
