fuel gauge inop

all of a sudden on my 2005 187. any suggestions where to start? :o

here is a simple way to determine if it is your gauge at fault, or the sending unit.  just ground your guage on the dash.  if the gauge is working the needle will go all the way one direction or the other.  if the gauge is working, then it is the sending unit, and your float assembly will have to be replace.  one other thing about your gas tank unit, all that might be wrong is the float has sank.  some units, you are able to replace the float, and not have to by the entire assembly.

fixed it. last time i cleaned the terminals i didnt hook up the fuel gauge wire back up. easy fix.
embarrassed to say the least but chit happens.
