Got on the water 2 days this week and considering the conditions I didn't have the results I expected. Recent warm weather has warmed the water temps from 50-52 degrees last week to the upper 50's to low 60's and stained water and in my infinite wisdom, I thought the spinner bait bit would be wide open but it was not the case. Tuesday produced 4 small keepers on a red bug speed worm and yesterday I did get a few on spinners, 4 bass, a nice red fish and a grinnell on a black/chartreuse Snagless Sally an old standby for me. The 10 day weather forecast calls for highs mostly in the 70's and lows in the 50's and if that doesn't turn the bass on I may sale out. Try again next week if nothing comes up.
Retired and loving every minute of it!
