Conditions:

Skies: Partly Cloudy
Wind: Non-existent
Water Temps: Warm bath water
Outside temps: 90's and humid  ~sweat
Current: Very little
Clarity: Clear
Fishing Time: 0615-1045
Bass Boated: 12
Top 5: 16lbs 4oz

Since the frog bite has been pretty good as of late, I headed out to the Marshlands again with the Bass Hunter in tow. Made it to my launch site 0 dark thirty, and was in the water by 0615.

Today's goal was to shoot a video showcasing a head a head battle between the popping frog and the HB frog. For every hour that I fished, I fished with the popping frog for thirty minutes, then the hollow body frog for thirty minutes.

Once I launched, I caught a nice bass on my 2nd cast! Bass came out of nowhere and crushed the frog. Short while later another one! Then another!  :o  In less than 20 minutes of fishing, I already had over 9 lbs of bass hauled in.

I won't go into full detail of the rest of the outing because it will ruin the video.  ;)

But I can say that the outing was a little different than the previous 3 outings. The frog bite was slower. I attribute the slow bite to the moon and lack of current as well as lack of the wind.

However, despite all of that, to catch over 16lbs of bass using only 2 types of frogs, the outing was fun!!

Thank you for reading, and I hope you guys enjoy the video when it comes out.  ~beer~
