Has anyone tried therewith Gary Yamamoto Slinko yet? I received an offer to try them and figured I had nothing to lose. They float, so I'm think topwater, Ned rig, and T-rig. I'm hoping to try them out Monday.

If they float my first thought was weightless :-*

You'll have to let us know how big of a hook it will float. We catch a ton of fish on frogs up under cypress trees here and this could be the something different...  :-*

For me, conditions weren't right for floating a worm, but I did test floating the Slinko. Other than Wacky hooks, I didn't have anything smaller than Eagle Claw 3/0 and the Slinko wouldn't float with it, maybe a it would if nose hooked with a smaller hook.  T-rigged it would sink very slowly and stand up on the bottom. When I dropped it along side the boat the ribs would trap some air causing air bubbles to be released on the fall sometimes.

I did notice that it comes through cover amazingly, this is probably due to it's buoyancy along with the ribs. I'm looking forward to being able to fish the Slinko in heavy vegetation.

Great feedback, keep us posted on the heavy cover. I might need to see if I can find some somewhere.
