Information on 2003 185SE dual console Stratos

Hello everyone,  I'm new to the group and need some advice.
I'm looking at a 2003 185 SE dual console Stratos with 2003 150 Johnson engine.
Is this a good sound boat? I've never owned a bass boat just looking for info before I purchase. The boat is a fixer upper as the inside needs work but the hull outside looks good just water stain and the engine prop is not damaged.  The trailer needs refurbished.  I'm looking for advice if I should purchase this boat for $8,000.00.   I'm just looking for a boat to take the grandkids fishing.

In general, it 's a fine hull, but if it's a fixer upper, $8000 sounds quite steep. How rough is it? What does it have for a trolling motor, electronics, etc? I love Stratos hulls, but I've seen lots of nice 18-19' bassboats ready to fish for $10k.

Hows the floor? Any soft spots? If so, you're probably looking at separating the top cap to replace it and replacing the flotation foam. It's quite a job.

Considering the electronics and TM, it might have been a pretty good deal. Of course, if it had issues such as soft floor or water logged flotation foam, it still wouldn't be that great a deal.  TLC can have a pretty broad meaning.

I agree with Princeton_Man  Stratos made an excellent hull.  But as a fixer up at that cost I'd passed on this one.  I have a 2004 Stratos  285 dual console with a 150 Yamaha VMax.  I'm lucky enough to be the 2nd owner of this boat.  Keep looking around there are some really good deals out there on used boats right now.
