Hello folks, I'd like to get off the bank when fishing and start using my finders to help locate off shore fish. I'd previously purchased a Navionics chip for the console graph then noticed the ethernet cable didn't transfer the map to the bow graph. I was told here the cable would transfer way points but not the mapping. My current bow graph map is extremely basic and I've been thinking about getting an identical chip for the front graph. Am I wasting money? Do you have the same mapping at console and bow? If so, did it help you and did you have to get a second card? Thank you in advance.

Yes good mapping on the bow is helpful. You might notice a little piece of unique contour on your console and want to fish it but struggle to find it if you don't have similar mapping on the bow. Yes, I bought two chips

Thank you Craig. I think that's the direction I'll go.

i got two chips.  got frustrated not having 'the look' up front that I had at the console. relationship to contour changes, not just target points, is pretty important.

at least to me.

This year I have started using satellite imagery mapping in my bow unit. The image is of the lake in a very low water level that shows a lot humps, points etc.

I'm going to start a new thread on this subject soon.

I have 3 units and 3 chips.  On the bow and helm I have Lake Master chips in my H-12s.  In the dash I have my older H-10 with a navionics chip.
