A couple of my reels have started giving me problems with the line guide getting stuck on one side (left)

I was wondering if anyone could help me on how to fix this if even possible?

Your worm gear and pawl need replaced.

To prevent the damage, keep an eye on the worm gear, after each trip clean any debris out with a tooth pick and/or Q-tip and re lubricate. I like to use a quality grease here in the south because of the heat. But since it sounds like you are prone to debris in this area of the reel, use a good oil to re lubricate. Grease is sticky and will collect debris when given the chance.

What brand and model reels do you have?

mike beat me to it. I have to clean my pawl out almost every week because of the conditions in my area.

Thanks mike. The ones I have that problem with are the bass pro pro qualifiers. Where can I find those replacement parts and could I replace them myself?

If Mike doesn't have them then you can order them from Bass Pro Shops. If you are able to do minor repairs then you should be able to fix it yourself. If your not comfortable then send it to Mike.

Old Fishermen never die, their rods just go limp.

It's not too difficult. The biggest thing is to not take off any springs. Once you have the handle off take both side plates off. You'll probably have to pull the drive shaft and drive gear just for room, but still no springs. Take your time and use your phone to take photos along the way so you don't forget how it all goes back together.

I don't stock BPS parts, when I need them I just call the main store and they are pretty quick about shipping them.

If you'd rather have me do it, shoot me a message and we'll discuss how to make it happen.  :-*
