Last Friday night was the full moon so I decided to stay out a little past dark.  This was the first time I have fished late enough to need my lights. So I pulled them out and checked them to make sure they were working before the sun started to go down, and as I suspected from the quality boat my Ranger is, everything worked flawlessly.

I was surprised to find the push button on/off switch on the front of the post and the little red light on the backside of the post.  What is this light for?

I believer it is a light you can turn on if you needed to find something on the deck without messin up your night vision, it is what i used it for before i did my Blue Water LED's.
A bad day fishin beats a good day workin!!!! or as my daddy says when all else fails use dynamite!

What he said :). But mine shines a white light using that button.
Stop by the Garage and let me know if you have Maintenance issues that you need assistance with.

Both Craig & Rick are spot on  ;D about the little spot light  lo lo

Mine have been white, but red helps save night vision,,,, only down side to a red light is not seeing blood on dark surfaces but sure is a big help retying and being able to save your night vision and continue to cast to your target.
