Is a trailer hook on a chatter bait/vibrashock a bad idea or good?

I use one sometimes, simply for the fact that i dont care how big of a fish I catch, and theres such a big hook on the 1/4 oz zmans.

Never had the need for one.  With the bait design and the small compact trailers I use they get the hook in their mouth.  I reckon if you were using a large trailer bait then there might be a need. But I use jig trailers mostly so it's never been an issue.

Never use one and can't remember missing a fish due to lack of one. The tend to hit it hard and hook well without one.

I don't use one, the fish seem to hit it pretty good and almost hook themselves.
I use a small trailer on mine also.

I like a fairly big grub as my trailer.

I never use a trailer hook on chatterbaits, but I always use one on spinnerbaits

Must just be me then and that i always catch small fish  but i never use them on spinnerbaits but i trim the skirts.

Cool just started using them and didnt know all the tips. What kind of trailers are yall using. I have double tail grubs will this work or paca chunks?

I use everything from grubs, to rage tails/chunks, of course the elaztec trailers that come with them, and RI little dippers cut. So you should be set.
