To everyone in the UB Family Happy Thanksgiving 
We currently have mostly sunny skies with some cloudiness. Forecasted temps for today are 46-86dgrs with 61% humidity with a SE wind @ 16mphs. There still no rain in the 10 day forecast as of today.
Nothing going on here I had a Lab appointment yesterday for my I&R (Warfin Med's) monthly checkup. I guess everything is with in the range they want me to be in they haven't called asking 40 questions.
Mostly tinkering around on the computer staying out of the kitchen as my wife prepares our Thanksgiving meal. There's a pecan pie with some cool whip I keep hearing it calling my name
Bud; Good morning my good man. Tks for stopping by. I hope you lower back gets to feeling better quickly for ya. I know you mentioned heat & ice treatment. Have you ever tried ICY HOT roll on for the in between the heat and ice packs? I use it and it does help with the pain for me. I use it on both my knees and lower back pain especially at night right before bed.
I hope you and your wife have a peacefully & relaxing Thanksgiving Holiday.

Catch of the Day / Triple digit catch! New PB!!
Last post by Capt. BassinLou - Yesterday at 10:14:40 AMThe Everglades is a very special place. I am extremely lucky to have this fishery so close to me. A triple digit day is not heard of. It's actually quite common. Catching/boating over a 100 largemouth and peacock bass in one outing, is quite the experience. You end the trip sore, tired, and with broken lures. 
Yes, peacocks are that violent. But, you will have a smile on your face for the rest of your week! I shared a special outing with one of our South Fl UB brethren. We boated 172 largemouth and peacock bass yesterday. Still can't believe it! Crazy!!

Florida / Everglades Madness! (11/26/24)
Last post by Capt. BassinLou - Yesterday at 10:06:47 AMThere are special outings, then there are special outings. The boat broke a new catch record yesterday. Everything fell into place perfectly. Starting from the location, conditions, and game plan. I shared this experience with Ralph, one of our South FL UB brethren. We fished for 8.5 hours straight. The bite never stopped from the very first cast! We used an assortment of techniques. A few lures were actually broken, due to the sheer volume of peacock violence. At the end of the outing when I showed Ralph the counter of 172 fish boated, his jaw dropped! We won't forget this trip for a long while.

Last post by Bud Kennedy - Yesterday at 09:23:55 AMGreetings from Myrtle Beach. Weather this week has been fairly normal for this time of year but probably a bit cooler than normal. Daily highs in the low 70s and lows in the upper 40s and plenty of sun. This all changes on Thanksgiving night. Cold front moving through dropping temps to winter time levels. Overnight lows will get down into the upper 20s and highs only in the upper 40s or low 50s. For those of you living in the south our winter cold goes deep into your bones. It is gonna feel more like January instead of November.
Been sort of out of commission with a strained back. I made a stupid mistake to move the washing machine by just trying to slide it over a few inches. Unfortunately this pulled some muscles and I have been treating it for the past three days with ice and heat. It is feeling better but still plenty sore. No bowling this week due to the holidays so I hope it is better by next week. It is feeling a bit better but I have got to keep taking it easy for a while. This sure does mess up my normal sleep pattern. If I roll over in the night the pain is really bad making sleep almost impossible.
Hope all of you have a happy Thanksgiving as we move into the upcoming Christmas season.
