Post by: TheLastRodBender on April 15, 2012, 07:32:56 PM
Here are some quick links you may need

Main homepage for Game and Inland Fisheries
Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries (http://www.dgif.virginia.gov/)

All your license applications here
Hunting and Fishing License Application (http://secure01.virginiainteractive.org/horf/)

If you'd rather go in and get your license in person, here is a license agent list that you can search by zipcode
License Agents (http://www3.dgif.virginia.gov/web/licenseagents/)

Check this before you get your boat wet
Boat Registration and Titling (http://www.dgif.virginia.gov/boating/registration/)

For those of you fishing the tidal waters in Va, the below link is mandatory.  Potomac, James, Rappahannock, etc keep this in mind.  It's a registry for the state to tally how many anglers fish these waters.   If you ask me it's only a benefit, the more people who register, the more funding used to maintain it.
Saltwater Registry Program (http://www.mrc.virginia.gov/FIP/)

VDGIF's tide prediction chart through NOAA
NOAA Tide Prediction Chart (http://tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov/tide_predictions.shtml?gid=132)

Below is a link to the 'enforcement' page.   On the right side of the page you will see links to contacting a local officer to report any violations.  Below that you will see links to multiple different outreach and education pages including hunter education and boater safety.
