Title: Dobyns coalition rod question
Post by: kidd on December 20, 2011, 06:21:25 PM
I ordered one today, more than anything to support the Army Bass Anglers, but wondered if anyone has used one yet.  I love my extremes and champs so I expect to enjoy this one too.  I got a 734 for spinnerbaits and buzzbaits.  Anyone?

Not yet but I'm sure it won't be long. I've heard lotta of good things about them from others who have them.

What is the 734 rated at?  Heavy, Med Heavy, or Mag Heavy?  Broke a St. Croix I used for spinners about a month ago.  Have a couple Dobyns and love them.  Was going to order this rod, both because it is a Dobyns but even more because it will support ABA.

I'm going to buy a Champion when they go on sale again.  I messed up and missed the Christmas sales from Monster, etc.

I'll guarantee you'll love it.  My coalition rod should be here Wednesday and as long as we're not iced over, which is likely at this point, I'm gonna use it.

Got the rod today and as expected its a fantastic rod.  The fish around here are pretty sluggish at this point but they're still hitting my spinnerbait if I creep it along.  Great craftsmanship once again.
