Our last regular season tournament is July 16, on the Red. We currently have 12 teams qualified for the October 1 championship, and three more can qualify based on number of events fished by fishing the River. Feel free to post any reports, including conditions, for the River here. I hope to go for a while Saturday morning, before it gets too hot. Hope to see you on the water.
Where are we launching from?
River bend took really good care of us last time. They opened the store early and had breakfast available for anyone who wanted it so we are going back. I am going to call him tomorrow to make sure there isn't another tournament that day and will post here what I find out.
Sounds good even thought I don't do well on river, hope it is not too hot ~sun ~sun.

Either your on fish around there or your locking through. Hmm
Ok I just talked to Chuck at River Bend and they have no other tournaments schedualed out of there that day and that he will be more than happy to open early as he did last time.
Just a reminder we will be voting on the Championship lake at this tournament.
I was planning on hosting a poll, once all teams were decided for the championship. Instead of me giving a list of possible lakes, each team will have one vote, and state in the poll topic what lake they want. What ever body of water gets the most votes will be the Championship Lake. Only qualified teams will be able to vote.
Tell you what.... Just to be fair... I'll pick the best lake with the best bite going and I'd do it the night before the event that way no one gets to prefish :-*
I'll fish everyday that week on a different body of water to ensure you get the best fishing available at that given weekend ;) and I'll only charge you :-\ We'll I'll have to think on that one ~roflmao ~roflmao
You all are going to have fun on the river :toot:
Thanks for the very generous offer, Mike, but I think we will have to pass. However, once we choose the lake, I will let you know, and you can fish it all week, and give me GPS points for every fish you catch!
I wouldn't go sore mouth fish like that :surrender: Just wanted to help if I could ~roflmao
just don't use a hook!
According to the charts, sunrise will be at apx 6:20 on July 16. We will launch at 5:50, and you need to be back for the weigh-in no later than 2:30 before penalty starts. All I need is to see you there by 2:30, even if you are stuck trying to get the boat out of the water, which, due to crowding, has been an issue all year! This is the last regular tournament. Many have qualified for the championship, several are very close. We would like to see everyone come out and fish. The Red always makes for a great tournament. Again, we will be using River Bend Marina. I encourage you to get some breakfast there to support them for opening early. I plan to be there around 5:00.
After this tournament, I will post a "poll". Instead of me listing several possible lakes, every team make one pick. Whatever body of water, within a reasonable distance (I am not driving to pool 3 or Toledo) with the most picks will be our Championship lake. The team with the biggest weight will take the entire pot, plus any dues we collected throughtout the year not spent on supplies. We are also having the customary big bass pot. Entry is doubled for the championship. Thus, if we have 15 teams, the total winning pot will be $600 plus any "loose change" from club dues, and the big bass will be $150.
Is this a open tournament? if so what would it cost a new team to get in?
Yes it is an open tournament if I am not mistaken the dues are 5$ and the tourney is 30$ which includes big bass. This will be the last shot for anyone to get to fish in the championship. Either by winning, points, or just fished 4 tournaments!
Dues are 10 and entry with BB pot is 30 so a new member can fish it for 40.
ok thanks for the correction bud!

ok thanks for the correction bud!
but is that for a team or singles?
Total, whether single or team. Let's just call it per boat. Max 2 fishermen per boat
I might be there Saturday morning. I havent been able to fish much the last month, and I'm dying to get out and fish a turnament.
Just picked up my new ride will be headed home shortly to get ready tomorrow. See everyone in the morning! Just a reminder to be properly hydrated you need to start drinking plenty of water 24 hour prior.
JMG New ride?? Assume they will have lots of ice to sell us in the morning. Have open back seat separate live well if any one needs a ride. I will also have my new ride.

Thanks Scottie I love it!!! It was nice to fish out of a boat that has storage for a change.
Have to admit it is a very nice ride even if it is not a skeeder.
