I'm going to fish Toledo....where is everyone else going?
Haven't decided for sure either Caddo or the River. Mac
Brad,
Can you even launch your boat on Toledo, I've heard it's
pretty low, I would like to try Cypress but I don't want to
mess my boat up. I think the river, caddo, grand bayou, is going to be my choice. Good luck and see ya at the weigh
in
Mike
Me and Austin are going to the River, Red River South Marina. Hey Mike, is the weigh-in at 4PM like usual on a scramble?
Jeff,
Yes the weigh is at 4 O'clock at the church. The river does
sound pretty good. If I remember right we tied there last
year for 1st and you got me by big bass ~rant, lucky again
Ha! Talked to Steve Sunday and got scales back and done the weigh placement sheets. He said he was going to try and catch up with John so we can have our gift cards, told
him I could do it if he's not abe to get in touch with him,
I still have the money for the first two tournyments
See ya at the weigh in
Magfish
I was on some good fish all week at Toledo. Mike Schultz had the winning 4 - 5lb fish coming to the boat but it got off. We had a great time fighting 2 - 3 foot waves. ~b~
How did everyone else do? I missed the weigh-in.
Austin and I fished Red River South Marina. We stayed in the Port Lake due to the wind. Caught 3 on spinnerbaits early in the wind, then it got too bad. We spent most of the day hiding from the wind in a small pocket with lots of wood cover, 2ft dirty water. Caught 3 in there on jigs. Weighed 5 for 8.5lbs. Lost two in the cover that looked like they would have culled us up some. Broke the bracket on my trolling motor on a stump. Gonna have to find a replacement.
I guess your day was worst than mine then...at one point i fell backwards into the rod box, stuck myself in the ankle with a treble hook, my line wrapped around the trolling motor and broke off my spinnerbait as my rod went into the water.....luckily, i was able to retrieve my rod and reel....while fighting 2-3 foot waves crashing over the bow of the boat.
I'M STILL SORE!!!!!!!!
