Title: Black Bayou Hosston
Post by: Lawguy513 on February 10, 2011, 04:26:15 PM
Ok, I have checked the sunrise/sunset charts.  Takeoff for the February 19 tournament is 6:30, but use your own personal judgment if you want to leave that early.  Last cast is 3:00, and you must be checked in by 3:30 to avoid late penalty.  I will be at the launch by 6:00 to collect money.  If you have already signed up and fished with us this year, entry per boat is $30.  If you are a new team, entry is $30 plus $10 for annual dues.  Bring some friends so we can grow the pot!

Tomorrow is the big day!  I plan to get to the launch around 5:45 - 6:00.  Remember, if you are interested in a "trash fish" pot, every person can pay $1 extra.  Biggest trash fish will win that pot.  Trash fish must be caught alive, but can be weighed dead (No need to bring a live and angry jackfish unless you really want to!!)

I know that we had a good time, even with the traffic debachal.  On a side note, some of you may have noticed that I did not enforce the dead fish penalty of 1 pd per dead fish on BBH.  I made an "executive" decision to forego the penalty due to all of the confuision with the Benton Bass Club and difficulty in getting to the weigh-in.  I realize that many of you were prepared for a 3:30 weigh-in, which ended up being after 4, and that fish could have died while waiting.  We expect things to be smoother on the River, so we will be following all of the rules.  Hope this clears up any confusion.

Dont think a 1lb penalty would have made a difference.  that was a good sack the 1st place team brought in.
