There is a ranger boat for sale right where i live for 3200. I dont know if i should buy it? Its my first boat and i dont really know anything about bass boats. This is the listing:

Buying a used or new boat is like buying a motor vehicle. You need to take it out for a drive.
If possible have a mechanic check out the outboard engine. Make sure you check out the trolling motor, electronics > depth finders, gauges etc. Another thing that needs to be checked out is the trailer. ~shade

mechanic. The add doesn't say what year it is but if its in good shape $3,200 dollars is a great price.
Custom paint job. I would ask what kind of paint was used. My guess was it's been repainted with automotive paint. That's something I would stay away from on a boat. If it has been resprayed with Gelcoat then I'd be much more comfortable about it. It's your investment and that could be a factor when it comes time for you to sell it.
I know it's your first boat but if your happy that's what counts.
Look around where the motor is mounted if there is any bulging or dark spots that's a sign of moisture in the transom then keep looking around.
Ask if it's been stored indoors or out old boats that have been stored out doors alot will have sucked up lots of moisture that cause rot and those repairs cost a lot.
