Here's a Interpretation of the image and where the Fish are. Just because you see a pretty picture you need to explore the image further to see the details and focus on what you really want to find and that is the fish. Notice the shadows give them away on top of the grass.

Doug, can you tell what there is about that spot that attracted the 3 fish? Are the down in the grass or above it?
Doug I noticed that you were a little over 8 feet in that image. How shallow can you get before side scan is useless?
He's posted images from 3.1 ft, 1.8 ft, 1.6 ft (with 50' right and left at that depth) (http://www.ultimatebass.com/bass-fishing-forum/index.php?topic=80011.msg951088#msg951088) and a couple more that I can't find. It seems like the only requirement is that the transducer be wet. lo
Ain't it great, got one several years ago. Find it most useful in determing bottom contours and structure.
What kind did use use for the pictures?

They are above the grass.

Just need clear view to the sides...with Humminbird and 180 Degree of Side Imaging coverage you can use in some very shallow water until the transducer gets coated with mud!
