Scott and Adam Crigger smashed the old 2 day record held by the Quad Cities Bass Club by over 3 pounds this weekend with 24.6lbs on Saturday and a 21.95 lb sack on Sunday for a total of 46.55lbs to take the win by over 6 lbs ~c~ They culled at least two 18lb sacks on Sunday after an absolute flury of rod crushing strikes using a KaRu Lures VibraShock. Most fish caught on Saturday were on a Poison Tail Jig and the VibraShock as well. Congratulations Scott and Adam on a great start to the 09' season!!! ~c~ ~c~ ~c~

Yeah I checked the quadcity bass club website and they said it was to wet to take pics. Oh well, would have liked to see them piggies.
They were some nice ones ill have karl come along with me sometime and we will take some pics i dont carry a camera in the boat with me

Its not the same. I wanted to see the whole limit in one shot. Would have been a cool pic with a 4lb average on day one. Saw some big limits last year anyway. Were you around for the ABA weigh in. Just wondering how that went.

I have been looking for some results all day. I thought about fishing it, but the rest of their tournaments are on Saturdays so I could only fish the first one. I saw a guy that normaly fishes ABA on Sunday and he had someone in the boat with him. I thought last year the tournaments were individual events??

They are draw events, bring a boat or show up without one. THey will put numbers in a hat to see who goes with who in a boat. Usually there was only 3-4 people that didn't bring a boat so the rest of the field fished alone. Another thing I didn't like is the schedule. Last year it was 12,13 and 14 now they go all the way to 17 and 18 which I didn't really care for.
that would be fun going to all of those pools nate there is good fishing down that way

Yeah, I've heard good things, but that costs even more money driving all the way down there. I'm probably just going to take it easy this year and try to pay some bills off. Work lots of OT and maybe next year I can afford to give you some money. lo

anybody can win on anygiven day, but with the time you spend on the water you definately have an advantage, but like I said I don't have enough money to gamble with right now. Maybe when I win a bunch on fantasy fishing. lo

You have pry fished more this year than i have i have onlybeen on the water 5 days and 2 of them were the tourney days just go fishing and catch em

This year yeah I have probably been out more, but you have years of experience on me. I've only been bass fishing on the river for about 3 years now. You can probably about guess where and what before you even hit the water.
you just have to go out on the water put the trolling motor on a bout 40 and start chucking baits...................cover water dont go back to the same area again and again keep moving you will find them

yeah thats the problem I have. I catch them in one area and then go to another the next day and don't catch anything so I just go back to the area I caught them in the day before. I just like to catch fish, so when I'm catching them I figure why not keep catching them, but I'm probably missing out in other spots.
Another problem is I'm always looking for something that somebody else hasn't found fish in. Some backwater cut or something that is holding fish, but I never seem to. lo I find some spots that look pretty amazing that I don't think other boat will try and navigate, but I get inthere and it sucks. lo
